This type of drying is carried out either in cylindrical drying cells (ROLL model) or rectangular cells (SQUARE model) using either intermittent vacuum (Pagnozzi patent) or continuous vacuum. Heating can be done with hot water or electricity.

Building on a cylindrical drying cell with heating and continuous vacuum plates (PRIMO model), WDE MASPELL presents a new version of the vacuum dryer. This model uses vacuum not only for drying but also to apply a pressure of 10 tons per square meter on the wood boards throughout the drying cycle (Pagnozzi patent). Also suitable for veneer drying
